About this policy
This is the Privacy Policy for ProSeafarers, the maritime crewing marketplace run by Martide Pte. Ltd. It explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. One policy covers everyone who uses ProSeafarers: Seafarers looking for work, people who represent a Company, and visitors browsing the public job board. This is a notice, not an agreement — you do not need to accept it to use ProSeafarers. Personal and Company Terms Acceptances are separate from this policy and do not supply consent to process Health Details.
Who we are
ProSeafarers is a trading name of Martide Pte. Ltd. (Company Registration No. 202124060K), registered at 1 HarbourFront Place, #14-05/06, Singapore 098633. Martide Pte. Ltd. is the controller responsible for your personal data under this policy. When a Company you apply to, or that finds your Profile, uses your data for its own hiring process, that Company is a separate, independent controller, as explained later in this policy.
How to contact us
For questions, privacy requests, or complaints about how we handle personal data, contact Martide's Data Protection Officer at privacy@martide.com. You can also write to the Data Protection Officer at our registered address shown under "Who we are".
Age requirement
ProSeafarers is for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that a User is under 18, we will close their User Account. We will delete or anonymise personal data we discover about someone under 18, except for limited records necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We restrict access to those records and retain them only as long as necessary. Backup copies follow the deletion arrangements described in this policy.
What we collect: Account details
We collect your name, email address, and information needed to create and secure your User Account. You can sign in using a link sent to your email address or a supported sign-in provider, such as Google or Apple. If you use a sign-in provider, we receive your email address and an identifier for your account with that provider. We also keep the access and refresh tokens that link that provider to your User Account. If you use Apple's option to hide your email address, we receive the relay address that Apple gives us. We do not use the name, profile photo, or other profile details that Google or Apple can share with us. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. We use this information to identify you, manage signed-in sessions, and protect your User Account.
What we collect: Your Profile
If you are a Seafarer, your Profile holds the information you give us to represent your experience and qualifications. This includes: your name, salutation, gender, marital status, date and place of birth, Nationality, and country of residence; your address, nearest airport, time zone, phone number, messaging and social media accounts, and whether your phone number is verified; your profile photo and a short description of yourself; your Seafarer Rank, Vessel Type experience, years of experience, trading areas, nationalities you have sailed with, and the largest crew you have sailed with; your languages and English level, education, and special skills; your hair and eye colour and your clothing, shoe, collar, and cap sizes, which some Companies ask for to supply uniforms and safety equipment; your job status and availability; and whether any part of your Profile has been verified. Companies that can see your Profile use this information to decide whether to contact you about a job.
What we collect: Work History and Sea Service
Your Profile can include your Work History: the vessels, companies, ranks, and dates you have served. We use the dates you give us to work out your Sea Service, the months of experience behind each rank and vessel type, so that Companies and the Match Percentage can judge your experience accurately.
What we collect: Documents
You can upload Documents to your Profile, such as maritime certificates, vaccination records, visas, and training records. Vaccination records require your explicit health-details consent, as explained below. If our scanner identifies a vaccination record without that consent, we discard it and delete its uploaded file from active storage. For each permitted Document, we store its file and the details you or our scanning tool record: its title, type, reference number, issuing authority and country, issue and expiry dates, and text read from the file. We use these so you can show a Company proof of your qualifications and we can remind you before a Document expires. Do not upload medical fitness records, such as an ENG1, PEME, or another fitness-to-work record. ProSeafarers does not support keeping medical fitness records as Profile Documents. If you upload one by mistake, it may be temporarily stored and processed by our scanning providers before it is identified. When our scanner identifies a medical fitness record, we reject it and delete the uploaded file from active storage. File deletion may take longer if a technical failure requires further attempts. Automated detection may miss a record; contact us if you find one remains in your uploads.
What we collect: health and other sensitive information
You can choose to add your height, weight, and vaccination records as Health Details. We hold and show these details only while your explicit health-details consent stands. We show them to a Company only if it is authorised to view your Profile. You can withdraw this consent in Settings. When you withdraw, we delete these Health Details and vaccination files rather than keep them hidden. File deletion may take longer if a technical failure requires further attempts. Provider and backup copies follow the arrangements explained elsewhere in this policy. Do not include medical conditions or medical fitness records in your Profile, CV, uploaded Documents, or free-text fields. Also do not include other sensitive information, such as religious beliefs, political opinions, trade union membership, or criminal records. If you include such information, we may process it as part of that content, and a Company that can see that content may receive it. Contact privacy@martide.com so we can identify and remove information that you included by mistake. We never use health information to train any AI or statistical model.
What we collect: Job Preferences and Availability
You can tell us the kind of contract you want: your Job Preference (preferred ranks, vessel types, trading areas, Pay Floor, and contract length) and your Availability (the date you are free to start work). We use this to match you with relevant Postings and to let Companies searching for candidates find people who fit what they need.
What we collect: Applications and Saved Jobs
When you apply to a Posting, we record your Application and make your Profile available to the Company, subject to the access controls described in this policy. We also record the Postings you bookmark as a Saved Job and the search filters you store as a Candidate Saved Search, so you can find them again and, where job alerts are available, receive alerts about new matches.
What we collect: Auto-Apply Rules
If you turn on an Auto-Apply Rule, we automatically apply to Postings matching your selected criteria. You can change or disable the rule in Settings. We check its current settings before starting each automatic Application. Applications already being submitted may complete, and changing or disabling a rule does not withdraw Applications already submitted. Auto-Apply also depends on your job-alert Consent Preference. If you withdraw that consent, we pause your rule. If you give that consent again, we resume only a rule that you had turned on and that the withdrawal paused.
What we collect: Consent Preferences
We record your current choice for each Consent Preference: whether you want to receive job alerts, receive marketing messages, or permit us to hold and show your Health Details. You can change or withdraw each choice in Settings where that choice is available. Withdrawing one choice does not change the others. Health-details withdrawal deletes the data as explained under "What we collect: health and other sensitive information". Your job-alert choice also affects Auto-Apply, as explained under "What we collect: Auto-Apply Rules".
What we collect: Contact Channels
You can add Contact Channels, such as a phone number or messaging app, so a Company can reach you directly. We share these with Companies authorised to view your Profile. ProSeafarers does not provide Emergency Contact or Next-of-Kin Contact features. Do not include those details in your Profile, CV, or uploaded Documents. If you include them in content shared with a Company, the Company may receive them as part of that content.
What we collect: Company data
If you represent a Company, we collect your name, email, and role, and information about the Company itself: its name, registration details, and the Postings and Vessels it manages. We use this to run Account Review, decide Company Approval, and let you use ProSeafarers on the Company's behalf through your Seat.
What we collect: Company recruitment records
When a Company uses ProSeafarers to recruit, we record what it does with your Profile and Applications. This includes the status of each Application and the Company's recruitment actions, notes the Company writes about you, Profiles it saves to review later, and when it views your Profile. Companies use these records to manage their recruitment. We use them to run the service and for the purposes described in this policy.
What we collect: Payments and billing
If you or your Company buys a paid Product, we collect billing details such as your billing address and Invoice history. Card and bank details are collected and stored directly by our payment service provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card number ourselves.
What we collect: Support conversations
When you contact our support team, we collect the content of your messages and any files you share with us, so we can help you and keep a record of the conversation.
What we collect: Terms Acceptances
When you accept a Terms Version, we keep a Terms Acceptance. It records the Terms Version, the time, and where in ProSeafarers you accepted it. It also records the IP address and the browser details (user agent) of your request. A Company User can accept the Terms of Service for a Company. That Terms Acceptance also names the Company and keeps the Company User's Authority Confirmation: their statement that they have the authority to bind the Company. The Company's record shows which Company User accepted its current Terms Version, and when. Company admins can see the Company's Terms Acceptances. Only the person who accepted and Martide staff can see the IP address and browser details.
What we collect: Usage and device data
We collect information about how you use ProSeafarers: the pages and Postings you view, searches you run, the device and browser you use, your IP address, and your approximate location. We use this to keep the service secure, understand how it is used, and improve it.
What we collect: CV scanning data
When you upload a CV or Document for us to read automatically, we start a Scanner Session containing one or more Scans. Each Scan extracts information such as your Work History and certificates. You review and confirm what was extracted before it is saved to your Profile; a Resolved Conflict records which version you kept when a Scan disagreed with what was already on your Profile.
Where we get your data
Most of the personal data we hold comes from you. We also receive personal data from other sources: account information from a sign-in provider you choose, such as Google or Apple; information that our scanning tool extracts from files you upload; Application status, recruitment actions, and notes that Companies record; and payment status information from Stripe. If you had an account on Martide's earlier crew platform, we transferred your profile records from that platform to ProSeafarers.
Information discarded after scanning
When we scan an uploaded file, we may temporarily process information that ProSeafarers does not support or that you choose not to save. We do not add that information to your Profile and discard it from the extraction records once scanning and review are complete. If an uploaded file is rejected as unsupported, we delete it from active storage. We tell you when information has been scanned and discarded. If deletion is still pending, we tell you that it has not been saved to your Profile and that deletion is pending. Information may still appear within an original CV or Document that you choose to keep. Discarding extracted information does not remove it from that original file. Provider and backup retention are explained elsewhere in this policy.
How we use your data: running the service
We use your personal data to run ProSeafarers: creating and securing your account, showing you Postings, letting you apply, letting Companies review Applications and Discoverable Profiles, processing payments, and sending you the messages the service needs to send, such as Application updates.
How we use your data: the Match Percentage
We calculate a Match Percentage, a score out of 100, comparing your Profile with a Posting. It weighs your Seafarer Rank, Vessel Type experience, Availability, your Pay Floor against the Posting's pay, Sea Service, English level, the Posting's Vessel Size requirement, contract length, and Preferred Nationalities. The Match Percentage helps you and Companies assess potential suitability. Companies remain responsible for their recruitment decisions. Our Terms require them to assess candidates independently rather than treating a score or AI output as a substitute for that assessment. Match Percentages help rank and sort results. A Match Percentage does not reject an Application or remove it from the Company's Application list. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects. Your rights concerning our use of your personal data, including any applicable right to object, are explained under "Your privacy rights".
How we use your data: Discoverable Profiles
Companies can find a Discoverable Profile in the candidate database. Your Profile must meet the discovery requirements, and you must not have turned discoverability off. You must complete onboarding and have the required personal Terms Acceptance. If you have not accepted a required Material Terms Version when it takes effect, your Profile leaves Company searches until you accept. We do this because it is how ProSeafarers works as a two-sided marketplace, and we rely on this legitimate interest rather than asking your consent for it. You can object at any time by turning off discoverability in Settings. Turning off discoverability removes your Profile from Company searches. It does not switch off Match Percentage calculations or withdraw Applications you have already submitted. Health Details still require your separate explicit consent.
How we use your data: AI and machine learning
We use personal data and de-identified data with statistical models, machine learning and artificial intelligence ("AI") to provide, personalise, develop and improve ProSeafarers. This includes extracting information from Documents and CVs, matching Seafarers with Postings, assessing relevance, ranking search results, summarising information, and detecting fraud or misuse.
How we use your data: developing and training models
We may also use Profile information, platform activity, Application outcomes and Company recruitment actions to develop, train, test and improve models used for these purposes. Removing direct identifying details does not necessarily make this information anonymous. We do not use health information of any kind, identity documents or their numbers, Contact Channels, emergency or next-of-kin contact information, or information discarded after scanning to train models, including when that information appears inside uploaded files. These exclusions also apply to training carried out by providers on our behalf. You can contact privacy@martide.com to ask about our use of AI or object to the use of your personal data for model training. We assess and respond to requests in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
How we use your data: third-party AI services
Some AI services are provided by third parties acting on our instructions. When you use a feature that processes an uploaded file, we may send that file and its contents to the relevant provider. Our service providers and international transfers are described elsewhere in this policy.
How we use your data: keeping ProSeafarers secure
We use usage, device, and account data to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, including fake Postings, scam Companies, and compromised accounts.
How we use your data: legal and compliance
We may use and disclose personal data where the law requires it, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim, obtain insurance, or protect someone's safety.
Purposes, legal bases, and retention: how to read these sections
The following sections explain the data used for each purpose and how long we keep it. The legal bases stated here apply where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies. Contract means processing necessary to provide a service under our contract with you, or to take steps you request before entering that contract. Legitimate interests means the specific interests described for that purpose, subject to your rights and interests. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting privacy@martide.com. Health data and other special category data also require an additional condition for processing, including when they appear in uploaded files.
Purpose and retention: Seafarer User Accounts
To create, secure, and operate your User Account, we use your name, email address, authentication information, and settings. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you. We keep these details while your User Account is open, including during inactivity. On closure, we anonymise your User Account, subject to the limited records described under "Records we retain after closure or removal".
Purpose and retention: Company User access
To provide the service to your Company and control access on its behalf, we use your name, email address, Company, Seat, role, and relevant activity records. Our legal basis is our and your Company's legitimate interests in operating the Company's service and managing authorised access. We keep these records while your User Account is open and archive it when you are removed or your Company closes. Archived personal data remains subject to the retention limits described under "Records we retain after closure or removal".
Purpose and retention: Terms Acceptances
We use the Terms Acceptances described under "What we collect: Terms Acceptances" to show who accepted which Terms Version, and when. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests in proving our contract with you or your Company, and in establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims. We keep each Terms Acceptance while the User Account or the Company that it binds is open. After that, we keep it for the period in which a party can make a legal claim about the contract. When we anonymise a User Account, we remove the IP address and browser details. We keep the rest of the record. This includes when a Seafarer closes their User Account, and when you ask us to erase your personal data. When we archive a Company User or a Company closes, we do not change its Terms Acceptances. Each Terms Acceptance is the evidence of what a party agreed to.
Purpose and retention: Profiles and Applications
To maintain your Profile and submit and manage your Applications, we use your Profile information, qualifications, Work History, preferences, CV, Documents, and Application records. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you, where processing is necessary to provide those services. Health Details require your explicit consent and follow the withdrawal rules described above. A separate condition also applies to any other special category data. We keep your Profile while your User Account is open. On closure, we anonymise it and delete your uploaded attachments. Limited Application history remains as explained under "Records we retain after closure or removal".
Purpose and retention: Company discovery
To help Companies find relevant Seafarers, we use Discoverable Profile information and Company search criteria. Our legal basis is our and Companies' legitimate interests in connecting Seafarers with recruitment opportunities. Your Profile is included in Company searches only while it is eligible for discovery and you have not turned discoverability off. Health Details still require your separate explicit consent. Turning discoverability off removes search visibility. It does not delete the underlying Profile or previous Applications, or stop Match Percentage calculations. Those records and uses have their own purposes and retention criteria in this policy.
Purpose and retention: matching and recommendations
To calculate Match Percentages and provide relevant recommendations, we use Profile qualifications, preferences, Posting information, and relevant service activity. Our legal basis is our, Seafarers', and Companies' legitimate interests in identifying relevant recruitment opportunities. We keep information used for this purpose only while needed for matching and recommendations or another stated purpose.
Purpose and retention: CV and Document extraction
To extract information for your review and addition to your Profile, we use uploaded files, their contents, extracted results, and your corrections. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you where necessary to provide the extraction feature you request. Any special category data also requires a separate condition. We keep extraction records only as needed to complete extraction and review. Unsupported information and information you choose not to save are discarded as explained under "Information discarded after scanning". Files and information you keep on your Profile follow its retention and closure rules.
Purpose and retention: model development and training
To develop, train, test, and improve models for the purposes described in "How we use your data: AI and machine learning", we use permitted Profile information, Application outcomes, platform activity, and Company recruitment actions. The training exclusions described above apply, including to information embedded in files. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests in improving the relevance, accuracy, and security of ProSeafarers.
Purpose and retention: Subscriptions and payments
To manage Subscriptions, collect payments, and keep billing records, we use billing details, Subscription records, payment references, and Invoices. Our legal basis is performance of a contract where you are a party to it; for Company representatives, it is our and your Company's legitimate interests in administering the Company's Subscription. We also retain records to meet applicable accounting and tax obligations. We keep these records during the Subscription and afterwards for required accounting, tax, or justified dispute purposes.
Purpose and retention: support and security
To answer support requests and investigate or prevent misuse, we use support messages and attachments, User Account details, device data, logs, and incident records. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you where necessary to provide requested support, and our and Users' legitimate interests in resolving problems and protecting the service from fraud, abuse, and security incidents. We keep these records while needed to resolve the matter and for any justified security or legal-claim period afterwards.
Purpose and retention: service emails and optional communications
To send service messages and communications you choose to receive, we use your email address, communication preferences, message content, and delivery records. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you for necessary service messages, or legitimate interests in administering Company access and delivering essential service notices. We rely on consent where required for optional communications, including the job alerts and marketing covered by your Consent Preferences. If you represent a Company, we may send you marketing about ProSeafarers based on our legitimate interests in promoting our services to business customers. Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops further marketing emails without stopping the service messages your Company needs. We keep preferences while relevant to your choices and retain limited evidence where necessary to honour them or demonstrate compliance.
Purpose and retention: records after closure or removal
To meet legal obligations, maintain necessary business records, prevent abuse, and handle disputes, we retain limited Application history, Invoices, Terms Acceptances, consent evidence, relevant security and email records, and archived Company and Company User details. Our legal basis is compliance with applicable legal obligations or our legitimate interests in maintaining necessary records and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims, as appropriate to the record and purpose. Archiving is not anonymisation. We keep personal data only while the relevant purpose justifies it and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires further retention.
What a Company can see
When a Company can view your Profile, whether because you applied or because your Profile is discoverable, it can see your real name, Contact Channels, Pay Floor, Work History, and other recruitment information on your Profile. Document information may include titles, types, reference numbers, issuing countries, issue dates, and expiry dates. Health Details, including vaccination records, are visible only while your explicit health-details consent stands. A Company searching the candidate database, rather than reviewing an Application, only ever sees a Discoverable Profile.
Generated CVs and copies held by Companies
Companies authorised to view your Profile can also view a CV generated from its recruitment information, which they can print or save. The generated CV is separate from your original uploaded CV and Document files. Turning off discoverability or withdrawing health-details consent does not recall copies the Company has already saved. Neither does blocking a Company or closing your User Account.
Companies are independent controllers
A Company can be an employer, ship owner, ship manager, or manning (crewing) agency. When a Company accesses your Profile or receives your Application for its own recruitment purposes, it acts as an independent controller. It is responsible for its use of your personal data, including copies it saves, and must explain that use in its own privacy notice. Our Company Terms require Companies to use your data only for permitted recruitment purposes, protect it, respect your rights, and meet applicable international-transfer requirements. A Company may share your data with its own service providers for that recruitment. For a recruitment you have taken part in, it may also share your data with the employer it recruits for, such as a ship owner or principal. Martide remains responsible for its own processing, including disclosures and access controls. Contact the Company about its recruitment records and use of your data. Contact us about processing by ProSeafarers or to report suspected misuse through the service.
Other recipients
We also share personal data where necessary with our professional advisers, auditors, and insurers; with courts, regulators, and law enforcement authorities where the law requires it or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and with a buyer or successor if Martide's business is reorganised, merged, or sold, subject to this policy. We do not sell your personal data.
Service providers: hosting and storage
We host ProSeafarers' database with Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany, and store files such as Documents and CVs in Cloudflare object storage under Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction. Cloudflare also provides the network that delivers ProSeafarers and the gateway we route AI requests through.
Service providers: payments
We use Stripe to process payments and store payment details securely. Depending on the activity, Stripe processes personal data on our behalf or as an independent controller, including for fraud prevention and compliance with its legal obligations. Stripe's Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy explains its processing and how to exercise your rights with Stripe.
Service providers: email
We use Postmark, based in the United States, to send account and notification emails on our behalf.
Service providers: support chat
We use Intercom, based in the United States, to run support chat and to keep a customer record for each User so our team can help you. That record contains your name, email address, phone number, role, the date you joined, and, for Company representatives, the Company's name and Plan.
Service providers: phone verification
We use Twilio, based in the United States, to verify phone numbers and send verification codes by SMS or WhatsApp. If you choose WhatsApp, the code is delivered through WhatsApp, a Meta service.
Service providers: AI models
We use models run by Google, based in the United States, through Cloudflare's AI Gateway to extract information from uploaded Documents and CVs. This processing can include the uploaded file and its contents, as well as the information extracted from it.
Service providers: monitoring
We use Sentry, based in the United States, and AppSignal to monitor for errors and keep ProSeafarers running reliably.
Service providers: analytics
We use Plausible, based in the European Union, to understand how ProSeafarers is used. Plausible uses cookieless analytics. See the technology inventory below for analytics purposes and controls, including other analytics providers.
Where your data is stored
Your data is primarily stored in the European Union: our database is hosted by Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany, and our file storage uses Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction.
International transfers
Your personal data may be accessed or processed outside your country by Martide personnel, including from Singapore, by our service providers, and by Companies authorised to view your Profile or receive your Application. This includes remote access from another country, even where data remains stored in the European Union. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. We put in place the protection required by the laws applicable to each transfer. Depending on the transfer, this may include an applicable adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or a UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement, together with any required assessments and additional safeguards. Our Company Terms include an international data transfer agreement requiring Companies to protect personal data and comply with applicable transfer requirements. Where additional legal instruments are required, those must also be completed; the Company Terms alone do not replace them. You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data and, where applicable, a copy, subject to necessary redactions.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data while your User Account remains open, including during periods of inactivity. For Seafarers, this includes their Profile. A User Account is your personal sign-in account; a Profile is a Seafarer's recruitment record. Company representatives have User Accounts but do not have Seafarer Profiles. Closure and removal affect these records as explained below.
When a Seafarer closes their User Account
When you complete the closure confirmation process, we end all your signed-in sessions, anonymise your User Account and Profile, and delete your uploaded attachments, including your CV, Documents, and profile image. Some records remain as explained under "Records we retain after closure or removal". Copies already held independently by Companies are subject to their own privacy notices; contact the relevant Company about those copies.
When a Company closes or removes a User
When a Company closes, we archive the Company and the User Accounts of all its remaining Users, end their Seats, and end all their signed-in sessions. We delete the Company's uploaded attachments, including its logo. When a Company removes an individual User, we archive that User Account, end their Seat and all their signed-in sessions, and remove them from the active team list. Archived Users cannot sign in. Archiving preserves the Company's and its Users' identifying details and historical records; it does not anonymise them. We retain those records for the purposes explained below.
When an archived Company User returns
Sending a new invitation does not reactivate an archived User Account. When the User accepts a valid invitation from an active Company, we reactivate the same User Account and create a new Seat with the role in that invitation. Previous Seats remain archived, historical records remain linked to the same User, and previously ended sessions remain invalid.
Records we retain after closure or removal
We retain records such as Application history, Invoices, Terms Acceptances, Consent Preference history, and relevant security and email-delivery records where needed to maintain recruitment history, meet accounting or legal obligations, prevent abuse, or handle disputes. Some retained records still contain personal data, including archived Company User details and relevant email records. Closure or removal does not make every retained record anonymous. We restrict access to these records and delete or anonymise personal data when it is no longer needed for the applicable purpose, unless the law requires further retention.
Backups
We keep restricted-access backups for disaster recovery. Information deleted from our active systems may remain in backups until those backups expire under our retention schedule. We do not use that information for recruitment, marketing, or model training. If we restore a backup, we reapply relevant deletion and anonymisation requests before returning the affected data to normal use.
Cookies: overview
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, tracking pixels, and scripts that store or access information on your device. We use these technologies to maintain signed-in sessions and protect ProSeafarers against automated abuse. We also use analytics and error-reporting tools to understand website use and diagnose problems; these tools do not all use cookies. Optional advertising tools can measure our campaigns and help show relevant advertisements. The inventory below explains providers, purposes, durations, and controls. Email tracking is described separately.
Cookies: your choices
Where applicable law requires consent, we obtain it before enabling the relevant technology. You can accept or reject optional purposes and change or withdraw your choices through our privacy controls. Rejecting an optional purpose does not prevent use of the core service. We use an exemption from consent only where its conditions apply to the particular purpose and configuration. You can also manage cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other requested features from working.
Technology inventory: sign-in and sessions
Provider: Martide. Technology: the _proseafarers_key session cookie. Purpose: maintain your signed-in session. Control: sign out, or remove cookies through your browser.
Technology inventory: security and abuse prevention
Provider: Cloudflare, including Turnstile. Purpose: check requests for automated abuse and protect the service. Technology: security checks and any security cookies enabled for our sites. Control: browser settings, although blocking necessary security technology may prevent a requested feature from working.
Technology inventory: saved privacy choices
Provider: Cloudflare Zaraz. Purpose: remember your privacy choices and apply them to the tools assigned to each purpose. Technology: a first-party consent cookie. Control: change your choices through our privacy controls.
Technology inventory: analytics
Providers: Plausible and Google Analytics. Purpose: understand visits, navigation, and use of the public job board, and improve the service. Technology: Plausible uses cookieless analytics; Google Analytics may use cookies or other identifiers depending on its configuration. Control: analytics choices in our privacy controls apply to Google Analytics. Plausible operates independently of consent. Accepting, rejecting, or withdrawing consent through Cloudflare Zaraz does not control the direct Plausible tracker.
Technology inventory: advertising and campaign measurement
Purpose: measure the effectiveness of our advertisements and help show relevant advertisements on other services. Technology: advertising tags, pixels, cookies, or other identifiers. Control: advertising choices in our privacy controls, separate from analytics.
Technology inventory: error reporting

Technology inventory: fonts
Provider: Google Fonts. Purpose: display the fonts used on our sites. Technology: your browser requests font files from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details. It does not set cookies for this purpose. Control: browser settings, although blocking these requests may change how pages look.
Technology inventory: support chat
Provider: Intercom. Purpose: provide support chat and maintain conversation continuity. Technology: Messenger cookies and related browser storage. Control: support-chat choices in our privacy controls.
Email delivery and engagement tracking
We use Postmark to send emails and receive delivery and bounce information. Open and click tracking are separate from delivery: where enabled, a tracking image can indicate that an email was opened, and a tracked link can indicate that it was clicked. These events may be linked to the recipient and message and used to understand engagement. Where applicable law requires consent for this tracking, we obtain it before using it. Consent to receive an email does not by itself establish consent to engagement tracking.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to our processing, you may have rights to information about how we use your personal data, access and correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy of your data, and objection to processing. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Some rights apply only in particular circumstances and are subject to conditions and exceptions under applicable law. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority as provided by applicable law. The regional information below explains additional requirements and procedures.
How to exercise your privacy rights
Seafarers can download a copy of their data or request closure of their User Account from Settings and complete the confirmation process. Company admins can close their Company or remove its Users as described above. Archiving does not remove your data-protection rights. You can contact privacy@martide.com to exercise your rights or raise a privacy complaint, whether or not you have a User Account.
